Montana Viewpoint: Trump could learn from Truman


As a fourth-grader, when the siren heralded the air raid drill I dutifully crawled under my desk and put my hands over my head and didn’t move until the all-clear sounded. During the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 I was as scared as anybody that the Russians were going to bomb us to oblivion and vice-versa. On school shootings, Daines touts deadly force deterrent


Sen. Steve Daines, R-Mont., joined President Donald Trump in a bicameral meeting at the White House on Wednesday to discuss school safety, saying future school shootings can be stopped by deadly force. Billings marchers will join others around state, world


Women’s marches are being organized across the state and around the world this Saturday, a year after huge crowds turned out last January on the day after President Donald Trump’s inauguration. State Sen. Jen Gross, D-Billings, a co-coordinator of the Montana Women’s March Billings, said last year’s Women’s March on Montana, which drew an estimated 10,000 people to Helena, was powerfully exciting. Rosendale muffs easy radio play

“Sharia Steve,” the caller said, and I hoped for an epiphany. Matt Rosendale, who hopes to abandon his job as state auditor to become a U.S. senator next year, was being interviewed last week on the “Voices of Montana” radio show. The caller was slandering Gov.
